Continued Professional Development (CPD)
Further your professional skills
Continued Professional Development (CPD) refers to the process of furthering skills, knowledge and experience gained beyond any initial training, as you work. It documents any training and experience acquired, both formally and informally.
Continued Professional Development is required by several recognised professional bodies, from yoga to hairdressing, when you register as a member. It ensures the member’s continuation of training in a particular field while guaranteeing up-to-date expertise to students or clients of a registered member. CPD workshops are required by yoga teachers to obtain necessary credits to maintain registration with the Yoga Alliance.
Yoga Alliance CPD
Yoga Teachers who are registered with Yoga Alliance UK at the 200 hour level (RYT200) are required to attend at least one continued professional development training module of 8 hours duration each year.
In 2016, Jennifer Cortis was awarded the membership level of Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She offers official Yoga Alliance CPD workshops in Malta for the continued professional development of yoga teachers, advanced yoga practitioners and health professionals.
